9. Phoenix: Sky Harbor Airport
If you have time to spare in Phoenix, jump on the moving sidewalk or the shuttle bus and make your way to Terminal 4 for the best selection of bars, restaurants, and shops.

Jackelope Flats Bar and Taberna de Tequila (both in Terminals 3 and 4); Desert Springs Brewing Company (Terminal 4).

Flo’s Shanghai Café, Paradise Bakery and Café (both in Terminal 4).
Best place to amuse the kids
Kids will be both delighted and disgusted by the “Arizona’s Bizarre & Beautiful Bugs” exhibit on the second level of Terminal 3.
Best shopping
For kids, Curious Creatures (Terminal 3); for chocolate lovers, See’s Candy (Terminal 4); for your furry friends at home, Bowser Wowser (Terminal 4).

Free wi-fi is available all over the airport.
Best cheap way to escape the airport
You can take the Red Line bus #13 to Phoenix from any terminal. Ask for a “Bus Book” at the terminal information desk for details.

Visit the art gallery on the third level of Terminal 4.
